Bente Christensen-Ernst was born in Denmark in 1941.

Bente Christensen-Ernst is for the time being working in her studio in Antakya in Turkey. Besides Antakya, Bente has a studio in Istanbul and one in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is working with galleries in Denmark, Turkey and Syria. She has exhibited on art fairs and biennales and has been on shows in Sweden, Germany, France, Russia, Italy, Syria, Lebanon, London and New York.
Bente has been living in the Middle East for years, and her works have been influenced by her life and journeys there. The Danish art critic Tom Jørgensen calls her an “easternised” Scandinavian. The theme for Bente latest show in New York was “Realisme Orientale.”
