HAMID SAEED

Hamid Saeed was born in Basra, Iraq in 1976. He received a Master of Fine Arts from Alexandria University in Egypt and is an established member of various professional organizations, including the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association, the Iraqi Artists Syndicate and the Iraqi Association of Photography.

The subject of this biography is an accomplished artist with a wealth of experience in the world of art. The artist has organized the World Image Project in Iraq - IMAGE OF THE WORLD - IMAGO MUNDI, which aimed to support small businesses in the country. Some of the other awards and recognitions received by the artist include the First Prize for Art Education Teachers in Basra (2013), the Best Scenography Award at the Iraqi Theater Festival in Basra (2012), and the Farouk Hassan Award in the Ishtar Competition in Baghdad (2008).

In addition to participating in exhibitions, Saeed has also created several notable works, including decorated a collection of plays in Basra, several artworks selected for the collection "One Hundred Haiku and Haiku" by Iraqi poet Abdul Karim Kassid and Moroccan poet Sameh Darwish (2017), and cover paintings for several books by Iraqi and Kuwaiti poets. The artist has also held personal exhibitions in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Out in the Field Gallery, 2019), Sulaymaniyah Museum (2018), and the headquarters of the Writers Union (The Winter Scent Group, 2012).
