ALI AL-TAJER
Ali Al Tajer is an Iraqi painter who was born in 1962. Since the early 1990s, Ali has been a long-standing member of the Association of Iraqi Artists. And an established member in the Organization of Iraqi Fine Artists since 2002. Ali Al Tajer began his artistic career by illustrating for magazines and newspapers in Iraq and also worked on animating a film for Iraqi Television.
He received a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Baghdad in 1992, during which time he focused his research on human and animal motifs, traditional Iraqi architecture, and the contemporary artistic vision of the Epic Creation of Babylon. Ali Al Tajer's paintings are characterized by their textured layers of paint, which are applied with a painterly brushstroke that feature vibrant, intense colors.
His works are delicately crowded with traditional Iraqi elements and customs, with flowers, and roses in particular, being a recurring theme of his.
