Ghadeer Saeed

Ghadeer Saeed’s creations are complex in execution and in spirit. Her work is emotionally, politically, and philosophically charged. Ghadeer predominantly explores topics of war, love and chaos with a residing nostalgic feel. A seamless blend of monochromatic backgrounds and sparse yet vivid bursts of color is her signature style.

Ghadeer was born in Libya to Jordanian parents. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Ghadeer’s architectural background is reflected in the linear nature of her work.

Ghadeer’s foray into the art world began with her capturing the flavors of her destinations through her camera’s lens during her travels. Over the years, she has developed a unique style through which she incorporates her own photographs with iconic Oriental and global images through a giclée printing process. Her first exhibition was through a contribution to the 2009 Sunny Art Fair in Amman, Jordan. Her first solo exhibition, “Memories of War and Love”, took place in 2010 at the Jacaranda Image Gallery in Amman, Jordan. Her second solo exhibition was held at Dar Al-Anda Art Gallery in 2013.
